Hello! Happy New Year! We've made it to another year and I'm looking forward to seeing what 2026 has to offer. I'm starting off the year right with not one, not two, but THREE trips booked within the next three months! I'm super excited, as I'm returning to one country I've visited 11 years ago and the other two locations are new to me. I didn't really travel a whole lot in 2025 but in 2026 I'm trying to change that! And you know what else I'm trying to change in 2026?... GoalsThe goals I set for myself and how I achieve them! I truly want to travel more this year; explore new countries and states, and work on myself personally. This year is going to be about new travel opportunities, new horizons, and personal growth. Travel GoalsLike I've mentioned, I have a lot of trips I'd like to take this year. I'm planning to travel almost every month of the year. Whether it's a weekend trip or a week long adventure, I'm planning to hit the road or that plane! The goal is to travel to 3 to 4 new states and 3 to 4 new countries, plus one US territory. That's a lot! And I still have a few other locations in mind that I'd like to visit. When I said I'm planning to travel more this year, I meant it! Some places I'm planning on visiting are Norway, Puerto Rico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Maine, Curaçao, Tanzania, Sweden, and more! Plus, I'm revisiting Ireland soon. After 11 years, I cannot wait to return to this beautiful country! Personal GoalsOn a personal level, this year, I am going to focus more on self-care. Doing what's best for my physical and mental well-being. This has taken a back seat for a while. But with the slow burnout I'm feeling from my full-time job that's 3rd shift, I know it's time to focus on self-care and doing what's right for me and my mental health. This means traveling (of course lol) as a break, reading more, continuing to create travel content (I find it therapeutic and it helps me channel my energy into something productive), and taking necessary breaks from work (PTO). It's important to fill up your own cup in life. That way, you're not burning yourself out and you're able to focus on the things that you love. For me, that means taking care of myself so I can be in a better physical and mental state to travel and create content for you all! Travel Content GoalsAs for travel content, my goal this year is to create consistency and weekly goals that are realistic and attainable. That means, creating tasks that I can achieve in a week and creating a system to create content that I can consistently stick to. I know I've slacked a bit the past couple of years with creating content. However, I'm truly dedicated to creating consistent content across my social media platforms, YouTube channel, and blog! Which, if you're not following me, any support would be appreciated. My handles are @jojoscupofmocha. I also started a new photography page on Instagram and Threads! My handle is @jcmtravellens. I wanted to dedicate separate platforms and pages to showcasing my travel and landscape photography, and the stories behind each location. Hello! We are marching our way through the second month of the year. This is crazy! Didn't the new year just start? Anyways, I'm excited for the months to march on. Why? Hello! It is officially December! The last month of the year; the last month of 2025. I can't believe we've made it to the end of the year. But we've made it and I'm happy to see what the new year brings! This year was filled with a lot of ups and downs. I was thankful to travel or take trips this year but I cannot wait to plan more for 2026. I have a list of trips I'd like to take and that are already in the works. You'll soon see come the new year. But I will share some of my trip to...
Hello August! In a few days, September will be over. My apologies for the late newsletter, as I've been incredibly busy with work and I was on vacation for a week. Speaking of which, I just returned from Orlando and had the best time! I'll touch on it in a bit. I wanted to have a blog post up on the blog but that didn't happen. I managed to type it out but haven't edited it, added photos, etc. But now that I'm back from my vacation, I'm going to work on that. But if you haven't checked out...
