Hello! Happy March! Spring is almost here and I am so ready for warmer weather and longer days! I'm also very happy and excited for my travel plans for this month and the rest of the year! Now, due to the global conflicts between the USA-Israel-Iran, I'm going to monitor the situation and how that may affect future travel plans. Overall, we still have our plans in place and if things change, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. In the meantime, let's get into my travel plans for this month, some travel deals, my time in Ireland, and more! Travel Plans for MarchThis month, I'm going to NORWAY! Since I only have 5 days in Norway, I'm going to focus my stay in Oslo and do some exploration around that area. I'm looking into some day trips as well but I'm planning on staying in Oslo. Trust me, I wish I had more time to go throughout the different regions and explore. That gives me more reason to return in the future! But since I'm traveling just about every month this year, I have to spread my PTO out. Meaning, I can't use up 2 weeks work of PTO for one trip. I have to ration it out. Regardless, I'm super excited to visit! Even if it's for 5 days and I'm only staying in one main area. I'm forever grateful for any opportunity I get to travel internationally. 🇮🇪 Ireland: Reflecting on my visit 🇮🇪So, a couple of weeks ago, I just returned from spending almost a week in Ireland with my boyfriend! It was such a lovely time. This was my second time traveling to Ireland and this was my boyfriend's first time. We stayed on the east coast of the country, in Dublin. We did 2 day tours, visited a couple of museums, and explored Dublin. Of course, we couldn't get to all there is in Dublin. Not even close to exploring what the rest of the country has to offer! Some things I recommend:
Nevertheless, we both enjoyed the beautiful landscape, learning about Ireland's history, its culture, and its people. I'm thinking I might return to Ireland next year (as long as nothing major changes with international travel due to the conflict). As always, I'll be making blog posts, future social media posts and YouTube videos on my time there! Check out all my social media platforms and YouTube channel @jojoscupofmocha. Google Flights has great deals on flights as well, and it's FREE! Freelance WorkThis is something I've been looking into the past couple of years. Though, I haven't been the best at committing to anything; only researching and looking at opportunities. Needless to say, I'd like to get into more freelance work! I love writing, especially about anything travel related. From my experience working with Only in Your State, I love creating travel videos for others as well! Finally, since I've been trying to work on my photography skills (travel and landscape), I've wanted to get into some photography freelance opportunities. I know about Upwork and Fiverr, and I know there's othe programs like Only in Your State that'll seek content creators to create video content in exchange for payment. However, I want to take my research seriously and start applying for gigs or reaching out to programs. I just have to take that next step! Travel Content GoalsAs for travel content, my goal this year is to create consistency and weekly goals that are realistic and attainable. That means, creating tasks that I can achieve in a week and creating a system to create content that I can consistently stick to. I know I've slacked a bit the past couple of years with creating content. However, I'm truly dedicated to creating consistent content across my social media platforms, YouTube channel, and blog! Which, if you're not following me, any support would be appreciated. My handles are @jojoscupofmocha. I also started a new photography page on Instagram! My handle is @jcmtravellens. I wanted to dedicate separate platforms and pages to showcasing my travel and landscape photography, and the stories behind each location. Hello! I hope you’ve been doing well and taking advantage of the summer! We had a bit of a heatwave where I live but this week the temperature has returned to normal. I haven’t been doing much other than working, getting things together for Kilimanjaro and Nigeria, and trying my best to look into freelancing, remote jobs, and travel UGC. This is going to be my last year at the organization I work for. Which means, I’m looking to transition into something new (after I’m back from Nigeria)....
Hello! It’s June my lovely friends! We are officially half way through the year now. It feels like time is truly flying 😭 I have something to tell you…I’m taking a break from travel for a bit. As a traveler, this is so sad but there’s a reason behind it. So let’s get into that. I’m taking a break… I had the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico in the beginning of April and I'm so happy I was able to do so! Then in May, I visited Las Vegas once again, only this time with my best friend. Lots of...
Hello! Sorry I missed you in April! I had traveled to Puerto Rico (we’ll talk about that in a minute) in the beginning of the month. After that, I returned home and hit the ground running by working over 12 days straight 😩. Needless to say, the first few weeks of April were very busy and I didn’t have the time, space, or energy to create a newsletter. So, I’m getting back into the swing of it before my next trip in May and setting up May’s newsletter. Now, let’s get into some travel updates,...
