✈️ Travel Plans, Updates, and thoughts on Puerto Rico ✈️

Hello!

Sorry I missed you in April! I had traveled to Puerto Rico (we’ll talk about that in a minute) in the beginning of the month. After that, I returned home and hit the ground running by working over 12 days straight 😩.

Needless to say, the first few weeks of April were very busy and I didn’t have the time, space, or energy to create a newsletter. So, I’m getting back into the swing of it before my next trip in May and setting up May’s newsletter.

Now, let’s get into some travel updates, my future travel plans and work, and my personal thoughts on my recent trip to Puerto Rico.

Visiting Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

I had the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico in the beginning of April and I'm so happy I was able to do so!

I've been planning on visiting PR since last year. After seeing quite a few TikToks about the cute little coqui of the island, the beaches, natural beauty of the landscape, and more, I bumped PR to the top of my list of places to visit in 2026! It looked so amazing and beautiful, and because it's a US territory, it's relatively easy to travel from the mainland USA to Puerto Rico.

I spent 5 days on this beautiful island. I stationed myself in San Juan, specifically the Condado area, which is beautiful with an abundance of restaurants, hotels, entertainment, beaches, and more. So, if you're looking for a nice and safe area to stay while in Puerto Rico, I highly recommend this area.

Over the next 5 days, I visited Old San Juan, walked around the Condado area of San Juan, took a couple of day tours to the northern and western parts of the island. I visited many beaches, learned about Puerto Rico's rich history, the culture, visited a waterfall, and more! I had an amazing time, with my only regret being that I wish I had more time to explore on my own.

If you're looking to travel domestically within the USA but want the feel and vibe of another country, then head to Puerto Rico! I cannot wait to visit again (I'd love to in 2027) and spend more time deep diving into other areas.

Upcoming May Travel

Towards the end of May, I'm going to Las Vegas (again)! I just love going to Las Vegas. There's so much to see and do, both on the strip and outside of it, that doesn't involve gambling or drinking. You can truly do something new every time and not get bored.

My friend invited me to go to Las Vegas with her while she was with me in Vermont last year for my birthday trip. She's part of a bowling league and every year they participate in a competition in Vegas. Of course, I graciously accepted the invitation! Who would turn down an invite like that?

Now, I have to figure out what I, and "we" when she's not competing, am going to do in terms of activities, events, dinners, shows, etc. I have a few ideas of what I'd like to do but nothing is confirmed at the moment. I'm going to wait to see what her schedule looks like for the competition, and we'll go from there.

Overall, I'm super excited that I have another trip coming up! It gives you something to look forward to.

Travel Content Goals

As for travel content, my goal this year is to create consistency and weekly goals that are realistic and attainable.

That means, creating tasks that I can achieve in a week and creating a system to create content that I can consistently stick to. I know I've slacked a bit the past couple of years with creating content. However, I'm truly dedicated to creating consistent content across my social media platforms, YouTube channel, and blog!

I'm still trying to find that balance of consistency with content creation. Each week looks different for me. Depending on what I've got going on, how I'm feeling, how tired I am, if I pick up extra shifts, it all affects my ability to be consistent with creating content. I'm still trying! However, I think that trying to balance this while working 3rd shift isn't working. I was more consistent when I had a day job and could work on my travel content in between work sessions, before, and after work! Nowadays, I can't keep my eyes open long enough to create something because I'm coming off 3rd shift hours.

Regardless, I'm still committed to creating content no matter if it's only a few times a week. Something is better than nothing, and consistency is something I'll always be working on.

Which, if you're not following me, any support would be appreciated. My handles are @jojoscupofmocha. I also started a new photography page on Instagram! My handle is @jcmtravellens. I wanted to dedicate separate platforms and pages to showcasing my travel and landscape photography, and the stories behind each location.

Hello! Happy March! Spring is almost here and I am so ready for warmer weather and longer days! I'm also very happy and excited for my travel plans for this month and the rest of the year! Now, due to the global conflicts between the USA-Israel-Iran, I'm going to monitor the situation and how that may affect future travel plans. Overall, we still have our plans in place and if things change, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. In the meantime, let's get into my travel plans for this...

Hello! Happy New Year! We've made it to another year and I'm looking forward to seeing what 2026 has to offer. I'm starting off the year right with not one, not two, but THREE trips booked within the next three months! I'm super excited, as I'm returning to one country I've visited 11 years ago and the other two locations are new to me. I didn't really travel a whole lot in 2025 but in 2026 I'm trying to change that! And you know what else I'm trying to change in 2026?... Goals The goals I...
