✈️ April News Letter & Travel Info! ✈️

Happy April!

It's a new month and I'm loving the change in weather. I cannot wait to do more local activities and outdoor stuff like running and hiking! I've been waiting to be more active for months.

On another note, I'm coming in this month with sharing some (old) travel adventures, travel tips, and some travel news for the month of April! Don't worry, there's a freebie this month as well.

A Whale Watching Trip

Back in July 2024 (I know, it was a while ago) my boyfriend and I went with my best friend to Victoria in Canada. Victoria is in the province of British Columbia in Canada. My best friend wanted to take a birthday trip out to Victoria to do a whale watching cruise to see some orcas. She LOVES orcas, so this was her dream.

Of course, I wanted to be there with my best friend when her dream would come true. So, we booked out flights and were off!

We did wander around Victoria for a bit. And my boyfriend and I did make a day trip up to Horne Lake Caves to do a cave tour (spoiler alert: we didn't end up doing). But the star of the show was this whale watching tour. We went with Prince Whales Tours, which offered a 4 hour long tour where the drove out in the water to look for orcas naturally.

What do you know? We saw THREE ORCAS!!! My best friend was super stoked about it. And seeing her reaction to finally getting a glimpse of orcas, realizing her dream had come true, was just priceless.

My latest vlog shows you the whale watching tour, as well as everything else we did on our 5 day trip to Victoria. So be sure to check it out!

My travel favs + tips!

Throughout my years of traveling, I’ve come to love these staples that come with me no matter where I go. Weekend trips or 10 day backpacking trips, I have my ride or die items for travel. Plus, I’ll share some tips I’ve learned throughout the years.

Travel favs!

  • Power bank (never let your phone die while traveling)
  • Packing cubes (organizes items and reduces space in luggage)
  • Travel pouch (easy to grab travel essentials like wipes, stain remover pen, perfume, tissues, etc.)
  • Hand sanitizer/wipes (keep those hands clean!)
  • AirPods
  • Cap
  • Microfiber towel (absorbent and takes up little space)
  • DJI Pocket 2 (love vlogging with this!)
  • iPad (I use this to read, write, save photos, complete store tasks, etc.)

These are just some of the many travel staples I love and bring with me on every trip. But hands down, these items are coming with me on every trip.

Travel tips!

  • Download maps (Apple or Google) offline
  • Have copies of your travel documents (for yourself and people you trust back home)
  • Carry some spare cash (in USD and local currency)
  • NEVER tell people you’re solo traveling (say you’re visiting family, friends, etc.)
  • Prepare your route from the airport (any station you arrive in) to your accommodation
  • Don’t land in a new place at night (try to plan your arrival during daylight hours)
  • Have a power bank with you at all times
  • Use an eSIM (I like the ones with call, text, and data)
  • Less is more (minimalist packing)
  • Use carry-on luggage for your travels (save money!)
  • Don’t pay for your plane seat (let the airline pick it for you for FREE)

There’s so much more I can share, and I will in future newsletters! So be sure to save these tips for your future trips!

Hello! It is officially December! The last month of the year; the last month of 2025. I can't believe we've made it to the end of the year. But we've made it and I'm happy to see what the new year brings! This year was filled with a lot of ups and downs. I was thankful to travel or take trips this year but I cannot wait to plan more for 2026. I have a list of trips I'd like to take and that are already in the works. You'll soon see come the new year. But I will share some of my trip to...

Hello August! In a few days, September will be over. My apologies for the late newsletter, as I've been incredibly busy with work and I was on vacation for a week. Speaking of which, I just returned from Orlando and had the best time! I'll touch on it in a bit. I wanted to have a blog post up on the blog but that didn't happen. I managed to type it out but haven't edited it, added photos, etc. But now that I'm back from my vacation, I'm going to work on that. But if you haven't checked out...
